Who We Are

Nobel International School Algarve

Nobel Algarve British International School is an exceptional school, offering a unique education in the heart of the Algarve.

We have two outstanding campuses, both within an easy drive of Faro international airport: our flagship school in Lagoa, established in 1972, and our purpose-built campus in Almancil, inaugurated in 2020.

We set rigorous academic standards and our academic programme is individualised so all pupils are challenged to be the best they can be.

Both the Lagoa and Almancil campuses offer a contextualised English national curriculum; Lagoa caters for students from aged 3 – 18 years and also has a national section that follows the official Portuguese Ministry of Education programme.

Almancil currently educates students from aged 3 - 12, but with the second phase of the school now under construction, it will open to students Year 8 and 9 in September 2022.

Enrich

A life of discovery

Through a broad and balanced curriculum that goes beyond the purely academic, we build a deeper experience of the world. This encourages an environment in which each student can discover and develop their own talents - and appreciate the perspectives and gifts of others.

Challenge

The greatest teacher

A great education equips a student to face challenges confidently and manage failure with tenacity and resilience. We aim to cultivate the character of every student, through safe and managed exposure to experiences that stretch them.

Shape

A better tomorrow

The coming decades will present extraordinary opportunities and challenges for humanity and the planet; and also for our students. Our aim is to prepare and inspire each student to contribute to a more just and sustainable world by making use of their unique talents.

Achieve

Success starts here

We aim to empower our students to discover what it will mean for them, and to achieve the highest qualifications and, above all, to make this process of learning and seeking success as a basis for a fulfilling life as enriching as possible.
