Welcome to Nobel Algarve schools
Nobel Algarve comprises two schools for children aged 3-18 in the Algarve region of Portugal. Nobel Algarve Lagoa school was established in 1972, while Nobel Algarve Almancil opened in 2020. Nobel Algarve students are multilingual, achieve highly in academics, and are furnished with choices for their future life and career. We support each individual to become a global citizen who can shape the world.
Both schools offer a safe and happy learning environment, with an individualised academic approach that enables all students to fulfil their potential. We are proud to be truly international, with a diverse community of 50+ nationalities and enriching co-curricular activities and events.
Our community also connects via special partnerships and event, such as our such as our longstanding work with Eco-Schools, the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the recent introduction of the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.
There is a strong student council who meet regularly to discuss issues impacting their peers, as well as the community at large.

Our schools
We offer a contextualised National Curriculum of England at our schools, with a choice of study options in Secondary School – including IGCSEs, IB Diploma, BTEC Diploma and A-levels.
Nobel Algarve Almancil
Located in Almancil, between Faro and Albufeira, Nobel Algarve Almancil was opened as a new purpose-built campus in 2020. Surrounded by lush green space and boasting excellent facilities, the school is currently open to pupils from Nursery to Year 11, and will open the first cohort of Year 12 students starting in September 2025.

Nobel Algarve Lagoa
Located in Lagoa, between Lagos and Albufeira, Nobel Algarve Lagoa has been providing an excellent international education in the region since 1972. To meet the demand for places, the campus has recently been expanded and improved to meet the needs of the growing student body. Nobel Algarve Lagoa also offers a pathway with the Portuguese National Curriculum.
