Delving deep into the theme of ‘Wonders of the Marine World,’ this year’s Globeducate Virtual Arts Competition brought together just under 1,000 young artists from 50 Globeducate schools worldwide to showcase their creative talents.
Fran qualified in the UK as a Primary Teacher and SENCo. Having experience in international schools in Dubai and Milan, she joined Nobel Algarve this academic year. She has spent many years working in summer camps in the US where she taught sailing, and was the Lakefront Director. In her spare time, you will find her in the outdoors skiing, sailing, running, swimming, or hiking.
Outdoor education has long been recognised as beneficial to the mental and physical wellbeing of young people. Here at Almancil we have embraced this initiative and organised some amazing adventures for our pupils.
The 5-a-Day Digital Wellbeing initiative will launch in Globeducate schools on Monday 18th November and leads us to the end of term, wrapping up the first wellbeing focus theme of the school year with practical, proactive steps to support self-care for both students and staff.
Hi I’m Craig Layfield, Journey Lead, Forest School and PSHE teacher at Almancil. My aim is to encourage the pupils to have a love of the outdoors whilst equipping them with the necessary resilience and knowledge of self to survive and thrive in todays world.
