Globeducate Olympics, Stonar School, Bath, UK

From June 16^th to 20^th, a group of eight students from Nobel Algarve Lagoa and eight students from Nobel Algarve Almancil enjoyed a fantastic trip to Bath, UK, for a sports experience that exceeded all expectations. Blessed with brilliant weather throughout the stay, the trip was packed with activities, positive energy, and unforgettable memories.

The trip was superbly organised by Stonar School from start to finish, ensuring smooth transitions between venues, meals, and accommodation. The phenomenal coaches from each Globeducate school displayed non-stop energy, professionalism, and care. The expertise and enthusiasm set the tone for the entire trip, inspiring the students to give their best in every activity.

Sports formed the heart of the experience. Students took part in a wide range of physical activities, from athletics on the first day to tennis, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, swimming and football on days 2 and 3. The standard of sport was outstanding, and every child pushed their limits, showing growth in confidence, ability, and sportsmanship.

One of the standout features of the trip was the incredible team spirit. Despite coming from different countries, year groups and skill levels, the students bonded quickly, supporting one another throughout. Their encouragement, collaboration, and positivity created an inclusive and motivating atmosphere.

Stonar School provided a stunning backdrop, with the closing ceremony on third day giving us with an insight into the history of the school performed by some of their drama students. There were even horses involved and a song to wrap up the event.

Overall, the students gained immensely from the trip – physically, socially, and personally. It was a celebration of effort, teamwork, and opportunity, leaving everyone involved proud and inspired. We look forward to building on this success and repeating the event next year at Boundary Oak!
