Celebrating Strong Academic Achievement at Nobel Algarve British International School, Almancil

We are delighted to celebrate the success of our students in the first IGCSE examinations, at our school. With an impressive 98% overall pass rate, these results reflect the dedication, perseverance, and talent of our students, supported every step of the way by our outstanding teachers.

Our students excelled across a wide range of subjects. In English Language and English Literature, every student achieved a C grade or above. The sciences were equally strong, with 100% of students in Physics and Chemistry gaining at least a C grade, highlighting their skills in critical thinking and problem-solving.

Languages remain one of our greatest strengths. Portuguese students all secured a C grade or above, while in French Language and French as a Foreign Language, every student achieved the top grade of A* – a truly outstanding accomplishment.

In the humanities and creative subjects, Geography and Design Technology achieved a 100% pass rate at C or above, and History celebrated a 100% pass rate. In Mathematics, every student achieved a pass grade, underlining the depth of our students’ academic abilities across disciplines.

As an inclusive school, we accept students with a range of individual needs and abilities. All of our students sit a CAT4 assessment to give students and teachers an indication of their potential. The following students exceeded their forecast grades: 

• Leo B. and Bruna M. V. - Achieved the equivalent of 3 grades better than forecast across their IGCSE courses.
• Isabella L. -  Achieved the equivalent of 5 grades better than forecast across their IGCSE courses.
• Maximillian B.  -  Achieved the equivalent of 7 grades better than forecast across their IGCSE courses.

As our students celebrate these results, they now look ahead with confidence to Year 12, where they will embark on either the internationally recognised International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) or the career-focused BTEC pathway – exciting opportunities to build on their success and prepare for the future.
