School Services

At Nobel Algarve Almancil, we offer several services to help make life easier for both pupils and parents. These include a school canteen with healthy meals, an extended hours service, bus transport, school nurse and school uniform shop.

Catering and canteen

Students at Nobel Algarve Almancil can enjoy a nutritious daily meal prepared by our canteen staff (available at an additional cost) or choose to bring a packed lunch from home.  All students eat together in the school canteen.

Bus transport

We offer a daily bus service between Galé, Albufeira, Olhos D' Água, Vilamoura, Quarteira and the school. This is available to parents at an additional cost.

School nurse

There is a full-time qualified school nurse who works closely with the students, staff and parents, and is part of the Health and Safety Committee.

School uniform

Students at Nobel Algarve British International School are expected to wear their uniform to school on all occasions. The school uniform is an important part of our collective identity and sense of community. Students must present themselves as ambassadors of the school, including when they are in public places or travelling to and from the school.

Wearing a school uniform helps to:

  • Encourage self-respect and pride in the school
  • Promote a professional approach to learning
  • Support the academic ethos of the school as a well-ordered environment in which to learn
  • Ensure that students are well-presented and smart

Uniforms can be purchased from the school shop between 09.30 and 16.00. For more information about uniforms, please refer to the School uniform policy.

Books and equipment

All students (from Year 1 upwards) should come prepared to school with the following basic equipment:

  • Pencil case (clearly marked with name)
  • Pencil(s)
  • Ruler
  • Eraser/rubber
  • Pen(s)
  • Coloured pencils
  • Highlighter
  • Glue stick

Please note, textbooks and other required books are provided by the school; parents are not expected to purchase these separately.

Students in Years 10 and above will be required to bring in a learning device (ideally a laptop). The specifications can be found in the IT User Policy. Students will be expected to come to all of their classes with their device, unless instructed otherwise. When not needed, we recommend that devices be left securely in lockers.
