Our teacher Rute Oliveira participated in the 13th Science on Stage Festival in Turku, Finland

Rute Oliveira participated in the 13th Science on Stage Festival in Turku, Finland, where she presented a joint project with the Scottish teacher Adrian Allan.

This festival featured over 200 projects and 450 teachers from 35 countries, all focused on promoting STEM education. Besides participating in the fair, Rute and Adrian had the chance to conduct a workshop titled "The Science Behind Magic".

Rute returns with many ideas on how to apply Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths in her classes at a low cost. Science on Stage Europe organise this event every two years, bringing together STEM teachers to share and exchange successful educational strategies.

Our teacher also explored Helsinki and Oslo, and was amazed by the libraries, where one can read, work, study, and develop collaborative projects - all in one space, entirely free of charge. She returns with many ideas to apply STEM in her classes!
 

Rute Oliveira is a Physics and Chemistry teacher at Nobel Algarve British International School, Lagoa, where she has been teaching for 24 years. This is her second time participating in the Science on Stage Festival. Since 2021, she has been collaborating with Science on Stage, contributing to webinars on the Science of Magic and developing resources for teachers."
