About Nobel Algarve Lagoa
Nobel Algarve British International School Lagoa is open to ages 3-18, located in the Algarve region of Portugal. We teach an enriching and engaging curriculum based on the national curriculum of England, with the option to study for ICGSE exams or A-levels.
Nobel offers a close-knit learning environment where each student is valued and supported. Alongside our rigorous academic programme, we focus on nurturing curiosity, empathy, and self-awareness – shaping thoughtful individuals ready to make a meaningful difference in an ever-evolving world.

The campus
Lagoa campus is nestled within extensive grounds in an idyllic countryside setting with easy access to the Algarve’s main towns and Faro airport. Our classrooms and labs are air-conditioned, and we are underway with exciting expansion plans to further enhance the learning experience here.
From humble beginnings to a thriving international school, Nobel Algarve Lagoa has grown considerably over the past 50 years. We are currently expanding our campus to provide the facilities needed for our growing community of staff and students. As we grow, our goal remains to provide an exceptional international education with a global perspective, high standards, and a safe, welcoming, and happy environment.
The new facilities include a new multi-purpose gymnasium and performance space, a bespoke pre-school with indoor and outdoor space for children to explore, a brand-new canteen and new state-of-the-art classrooms for the junior school, including science labs and music rooms.
