Primary School at Nobel Algarve Lagoa
Primary School provides a safe and vibrant environment for children aged 5 to 11. We offer an inspiring education in a creative, warm, and holistic learning environment to enable children to reach their full potential.
Children are taught mainly by their own class teacher, all of whom are experienced in teaching the British curriculum. This learning is augmented through specialist teachers in areas like Physical Education, Computing and Music. All students are given close personal attention and challenged to achieve their full potential.
Primary school curriculum - Nobel Algarve British International School Lagoa
Nobel Algarve Lagoa British International School offers the internationally recognised National Curriculum of England, with modifications to contextualise the learning experience for international students living in Portugal. The curriculum is taught in English, with additional Portuguese language learning.
As part of Globeducate’s British International Schools cluster, we align with British education values and academic rigour, contextualising our students’ learning within the Portuguese cultural experience.
Primary School is divided into 2 stages:
- Key Stage 1 (ages 5 to 7)
- Key Stage 2 (ages 7 to 11)
"One of the most important things I learned here is that making mistakes is part of learning. If I were to give advice to a younger child starting at this school, I’d tell them to enjoy every moment. I’m looking forward to secondary school and all the new experiences it will bring."
Elina - Y6

For those students who need additional support, we have a team of specialist teachers and teaching assistants who support children both inside and outside of the classroom. We work in partnership with families and external agencies (where required) to ensure the best outcomes for all our students.
