Michael de Sousa, a distinguished graduate of Nobel Algarve’s Class of 2023, continues to excel academically and personally as he pursues an MPhys (Hons) Physics degree at the University of Manchester. Now in his third year of the four-year programme, Michael is already making his mark in the world of scientific research.

As part of the Globeducate Student Leadership Summit project, a small group of pupils represented Nobel Algarve Lagoa in Cyprus, between the 4th and 8th of November 2025. The chosen pupils were Ariana Lourenço, Joana Silva, Sofia Patrício, and Gabriela Bárbara, accompanied by teacher Carolina Coimbra.

Our Year 11–13 students recently had the opportunity to attend an inspiring presentation from the Swiss Education Group (SEG) — a world leader in hospitality and business management education.

Our Year 12 and 13 International students travelled to Lisbon to attend an international university fair hosted at the Iberostar Hotel. The event offered students the chance to meet representatives from over 40 universities across the globe — including institutions from The Netherlands, Ireland, the UK, and beyond. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to explore future study options, ask questions, and gather valuable insights into life at universities around the world.

Xana Jackson-White is part of the Admissions Team at Nobel Algarve British International School, with experience of working with both the UK and Portuguese curriculums. She grew up in both countries at different parts of her life and loves feeling part of both places. She is a proud mum of a young son and daughter, and is very passionate about ensuring they also feel the same way!
