A Year to Remember: Celebrating Our 2025/2026 Results

As August draws to a close and a new school year comes into view, we are taking one final moment to celebrate our 2025/2026 iGCSE and A-Level cohorts. We already knew we had plenty to be proud of. Now, with the final figures confirmed, we can officially say that this has been a truly remarkable year for our students.

Our students have achieved outstanding academic results, overcome challenges, discovered their strengths and taken some very exciting first steps towards their futures. And, as messages from our graduates have started arriving from universities and new cities around the world, we have been reminded that these results are about so much more than grades.

 

iGCSE: Reaching New Heights

Our iGCSE cohort has achieved an excellent set of results, with 14% of grades awarded at A* and an impressive 33% of grades at A*–A.

We have already celebrated some of the highlights, including fantastic results across our Modern Foreign Languages provision, excellent consistency in Mathematics and English, and the achievement that makes us particularly proud: our students secured over 10% more grades at UK grades 7–9 than the UK average of 22%.

One student who truly stood out was Marcus, who achieved a phenomenal 8 A*s and 1 A.

When asked about his approach to success, Marcus highlighted something wonderfully simple: breaking his studies into shorter sections and focusing on mastering each part step by step. It is advice that perfectly reflects the approach we encourage in our students; consistency, perseverance and a willingness to keep working towards the next goal.

 

A-Level: The Next Chapter Begins

Our A-Level cohort has given us just as much reason to celebrate. This year, we are incredibly proud to have achieved more than double the number of A* grades across the board, with 55% of students achieving grades A–C.

Among our exceptional individual achievements was Rostislav, who achieved an outstanding 3 A*s and 1 A. His next challenge? Mechanical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands, with ambitions of potentially progressing to a Master’s in Aerospace Engineering and, one day, working as an engineer for a Formula 1 team.

Reflecting on his A-Level experience, Rostislav told us:

“I found A Levels quite challenging, especially in Year 13, but my teachers helped a lot. They taught us key techniques that made it possible to score full marks even on the hardest questions.”

His words are a wonderful reminder that even the strongest results often come after the hardest work.

For Aleksandra, the next chapter takes her to Marbella, where she will study Hospitality with the ambition of building a career in hotel management. Her advice to students beginning their A-Levels?

“Stay consistent from the start and do not leave everything until the last minute.”

While she admits that A-Levels can be challenging, Aleksandra also describes them as some of the “best and most memorable years of school.”

Meanwhile, Ivan has already begun his new adventure in Breda. Having wanted to study his chosen programme at his specific university since March 2025, finally arriving has been a particularly special moment.

“Now I’m here. Wow. Still can’t finally believe it. Thank you for everything!”We could not be happier to hear from our former students as they begin these exciting new chapters.

 

Beyond the Numbers

Of course, the numbers matter. They represent years of learning, preparation and commitment - but they never tell the whole story. Every grade represents a student who has grown. A student who has faced a difficult question, a disappointing result, a challenging lesson or a moment of self-doubt - and chosen to keep going.

This is why, alongside celebrating academic excellence, we celebrate the qualities our students have developed along the way.

Throughout their journeys at Nobel Algarve Lagoa, our students have embodied the Globeducate values of discipline, teamwork, respect, perseverance and determination.

They have learned to support one another, to ask for help when they need it, to take responsibility for their own progress and to keep striving when the path ahead is not always easy. These are the achievements that stay with them long after the certificates have been collected.

 

Citizens of the World

And now, our students are taking everything they have learned with them into the wider world. From Finland, to Monaco and New York,our graduates are starting journeys that will take them into new communities, new cultures, new careers and new experiences, truly exemplifying what we mean when we talk about becoming citizens of the world. 

We want our students to leave us with excellent qualifications, but also with the confidence, curiosity, resilience and respect needed to make their mark wherever life takes them. We could not be prouder of this year's cohorts; not simply because of what they achieved, but because of who they have become along the way.

To every student who sat an examination, every teacher who supported them, and every family who encouraged them throughout the year:
