Celebrating Excellence: Globeducate Roll of Honour Nominees from Nobel Algarve Lagoa

Each year, Globeducate invites schools across its international network to nominate one exceptional student for the prestigious Roll of Honour — a recognition reserved for those who have shown themselves to be a role model in their school community. As a Globeducate student, our nominees align with the mission to be global citizens, ready to shape the world.

International Section

We are delighted to announce that this year’s nominee from Nobel Algarve British International School is Mark Gasgoos from International section.

Since joining the school in Year 9, Mark has distinguished himself as an outstanding student and an inspiring individual. His academic record speaks for itself: outstanding IGCSE results followed by an ambitious and rigorous A Level programme in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. In each of these subjects, Mark has consistently performed at the highest level, demonstrating not only academic brilliance but also an extraordinary level of dedication, discipline, and curiosity.

But Mark’s impact goes far beyond the classroom. He is widely admired for his humility, kindness, and unwavering commitment to supporting those around him. Whether offering help to classmates or leading by quiet example, Mark has been a role model to all and a true ambassador for the values that define Nobel Algarve.

As he now prepares to begin the next exciting chapter of his journey — studying Medicine at the prestigious Faculté de Médecine de Montpellier — we have no doubt that he will continue to achieve great things and make a meaningful difference in the world.

Mark Gasgoos is a scholar, a leader, and an inspiration. He truly represents the very best of our school.

National Section

We are delighted to announce that this year’s nominee from Nobel Algarve British International School is Íris Andrade from National Section.

Íris Andrade has been a student at Nobel Algarve since Year 6 and stands out as a dedicated, thoughtful, and engaged learner. Beyond her academic excellence, she has shown remarkable leadership as an Environmental Delegate, Blue School Ambassador, and participant in Technovation Girls. She also represented the school at the Democracy Summit. Íris is a kind, proactive student who uplifts those around her. She plans to study Engineering and continue contributing positively to society. 

Head of School, Mr Walker, added: "Íris is without doubt an example of all that we want our Globeducate students to be, a certain role-model for other girls within our school wanting to make a breakthrough into the world of Science and Engineering"
