The Portugal News Celebrates Internship Partnership with Nobel Algarve Lagoa

The Portugal News is proud to have partnered with Nobel Algarve British International School Lagoa over the past two years, offering a unique Internship Program to Secondary School students.

We’ve hosted over 20 students, mostly during the summer, who explored every department of our media company. From Sales and Marketing, where they learned cold calling and researched advertising leads, to IT where they saw how our website reaches over a million users monthly, students gained valuable, hands-on experience.

In Logistics, some even helped deliver the newspaper across the Algarve, while others saw the Production Team transform a page plan into a published newspaper within a week. The Editorial Department gave students a taste of journalism, including joining live interviews.

In our Social Media Department, we were inspired by the students’ creative insights into engaging their generation with news content. Some also contributed to the setup of a live webinar, working with our tech team and five of the Algarve’s top business leaders, a standout experience in live event production.

We’ve been continually impressed by the students’ enthusiasm, maturity, and work ethic. We look forward to continuing this successful partnership and welcoming more young minds ready to explore the world of media.
